When starting a brand new website, Pay-Per-Click is one of the most effective ways of generating targeted traffic fast. One of the best things about PPC is that you can begin right as soon as your website is completed, without even having to wait for the site to be indexed by the search engines. Traditional SEO, in my opinion, is a great way to build long-term sustainable traffic whereas PPC campaigns are wonderful at providing your website with traffic from day one.
Usually when PPC is discussed, the word Google isn’t far behind and for good reason. Google Adwords is an incredible system that allows for so much flexibility in creating your ads. When combined with your Google Analytics account, you have a powerful ally in your quest to be the next internet millionaire.
Even though Adwords is a phenomenal program, lets not overlook another contender in the PPC world. Bidvertiser also has a PPC ad component to it’s lineup of products which has been quite helpful to me from day one.
The first thing to note about Bidvertiser is that they accept PayPal to prepay your PPC campaign. This is highly desirable for me since I’m not a fan of giving out my credit card info to whomever requests it.
Unfortunately Bidvertiser doesn’t have the same flexibility that adwords does, however it’s still worth a try. Depending on your niche, you may find that your keywords are less expensive with Bidvertiser. This has been my experience. My average CPC with Bidvertiser is 2 cents cheaper and although this doesn’t sound like a large savings, if you’re looking at hundreds or thousands of clicks, the pennies can start to add up. With Bidvertiser my ads get substantially more impressions than with adwords and my click-thru-rate is quite similar for both adwords and bidvertiser.
There is a downside to Bidvertiser that I do find somewhat annoying. If I decide to tweak an ad that isn’t performing well, I have to wait for Bidvertiser to approve the ad before it starts running, which can take up to 2 days.
If you’re a new internet marketer, PPC ads are the way to go if you can afford it. Unfortunately until you learn the ropes, you can burn through a lot of money with PPC ads, so be careful.
